An anesthesiologist is a doctor who specializes in advanced techniques of anesthesia. Training consists of a two-year residency program in a health facility. Clinical training includes duty services in the emergency departments, internal medicine, cardiology, acute and chronic pain management and many other medicine.fields The anesthetist is equiped with full technology: electronically controlled monitor, pulse oximeter, stethoscope, ECG, blood pressure monitor, oxygen, all specific medicine and a defribrilator (for cardiac emergencies).
The anesthesiologist uses anesthetics that are administered intravenously or orally. The patient is continuously monitored during dental procedures and post-operation recovery.

What is the difference between the pain relief methods provided by a dentist and those offered by an anesthetist?

If the patient needs a complex surgery, for the patient safety and comfort, this is done under anesthesia. There are several factors that determine the type of anesthetic used, depending on the response and condition of the patient. Some surgical procedure require only local anesthesia by injecting anesthetic substance into the area of intervention. This method is necessary for invasive treatments taking a long time.

Remember! Prevention is the easiest and most efficient way to eliminate visiting the dentist. Respecting hygiene and regular medical checks, you can keep away dental problems and treatments can avoid long-term and complex interventions.
